| The only vehicular access to the huge LUL depot at Ruislip is via a long access road that eventually comes out onto West End Road at the point where it passes under the railway tracks close to Ruislip Gardens Station. I know from experience that you can wait a long time here and not see any service vehicles at all. On 21st February 2025, Jon was very lucky, although I believe some 'inside knowledge' was also involved! First to appear was Renault T-series artic LT73HKJ of Evenheights. It was pulling a Nooteboom extendable trailer loaded with rails. This is similar to LUL's T80, although it would appear to be somewhat shorter when un-extended. |
