| The day after Dave found brand new 9496F and 9504F at Museum Way, Acton Town, I was forwarded a list of central fleet vehicles that had been obtained through a Freedom of Information request. As regular visitors may recall, a request made last year had resulted in a list being sent, but it omitted the all-important registration numbers. A new request was made a few months later and, perhaps surprisingly, it was again successful. The new list showed that 18 new Fords had been delivered recently, with the number range (9487F to 9532F) suggesting that lots more were on order. Ray decided to visit Acton Works on 23rd February 2026 to try and find some of the new vehicles. First up, parked on the Stub Road beside the railway, were a pair of high-roof Ford Transit crew vans. These were 9533F (nearest) and 9531F (beyond). Slightly confusingly, 9533F was not on the FoI list, though the registration EJ75WZO was shown as being on 9531F! |
